Ideas To Keep You On Track For Your Writing New Year
Just over 25 days ago we rang in the New Year, the perfect opportunity to begin a new motivation and marketing plan for your writing business.
If you’ve gotten this far this, and continued to write every day, then you are one of the few who have determination in your soul and desire to write, and write and write. Of course not everyone is like me and chooses to write every day, it is personal choice and whatever frequency you decide to write then that is right for you. However, I just wanted to remind you that this time of year is the ideal time to focus on what’s working best for you, of what’s not working for you and can be deleted from your writing day so you’re making the most of your time as you tap into your creative energy to write.
Before the year moves on I want to share a little ritual I use to set myself up for a fantastic writing year ahead.
To help you keep abreast of what you need to keep attention on here is my handy check guide that I use and thought you’d like to give it a try...
I ask myself the following questions and give each an answer of Yes, Maybe, or No. Each day is different and each day allows me to remain motivated and energized to write. The following check list works a treat for me and I reckon it could do the same for you.
I’m looking forward to writing today I will write [number of words] today I will spend at least 30 minutes on honing my writing skills I will check for competitions that will support my writing career I will use social media to help make my writing more visible I will not allow fear stop me from writing I will make an effort to sell an article/short story/book proposal I will challenge myself to write better and bigger I will review my writing goals and forward moving actions daily I will reflect each evening on my achievements for today I will celebrate each writing win I will remind myself I am a writer because I write I review my year plan and work diligently towards my success
